Robotic Patient Simulators    

Robotic patient simulators are a lot like crash test dummies, they are used to save the lives of people all over the world. The robotic patients look like humans they can be men, women, infants or babies. The gender can be changed on the robotic patients. Some of the robotic patients have voice responds to simple questions. They also have a pulse and blood vessels. You can also see and hear them breathing. The more advanced robotic patients have pupils that respond to head trauma, the pupils can get bigger or smaller.

Uses

The Robotic patients are used to practice for a wide variety of medical procedures like drawing blood, giving birth, and surgeries. Some of the robots have blood veins that can be filled with artificial blood to practice drawing blood. These artificial veins can also be used to practice injecting medicines or using an IV. The female robotic patients can give birth to a flexible doll. The birth can be programmed to be fast or slow and the baby can come out with either end first. After the baby doll is born it is exchanged with a baby robotic simulator, which can breathe, move the arms, cry, and turn blue in the face. The baby has a pulse in the wrist, top of head and on the umbilical cord for a short time after birth.

Benefits

The use of robotic patient simulators is a great advantage for medical students. The Student can practice many medical procedures and know that if he or she makes a mistake the patient is not going to die. Robotic patient training has an advantage over training with cadavers. With cadavers the student does not get a respond from the patient, but with robotic patients the student can feel the breathing and movements of the patient as well as hearing the patient’s voice.

Los pacientes roboticos son mucho como los que se usan en pruebas de choques, sonusados para salvar vidas de personas en todo el planeta. Los pacientes roboticos son como humanos pueden ser hombres, mujeres, niños, y bebes. Ellos pueden cambear de sexo. Algunos de los pacientes roboticos tienen voces y responden a preguntas simples. Tambien tienen venas y un pulso. Los puedes ver y oir respirar. Los pacientes roboticos mas avansados tienen pupilas que cambian correspondiendo a golpes a la cabeza.

Los pacientes roboticos son usados para pracicar procedimientos medicos como sacar sangre, dar a luz, y sirujias. Algunos tienen venas que se llenan con sangre artificial para practica sacando sangre. Las venas tambien son usadas para injectar medecinas. Las pacientes roboticas pueden dar a luz a una mona flexible. El parto puede ser preogramado para durar mucho o muy poco y el bebe puede salitr con calcuel lado primero. Cuando sale la mona es cambiada por un paciente robotico bebe que puede respirar, mover las manos, llorar, y ponerse azul de la cara. El bebe tiene pulso en la muñeca, arriba de la cabeza y en el ombligo por poco tiempo.

El uso de estos pacientes roboticos es una ventaja para los estudiantes medicos. Los estudiantes pueden practicar y si asen un error el paciente no se muere de verdad.  Entrenar de esta manera tiene una ventaja sobre entrenar con calaveres. Los calaveres no responden, y los pacientes roboticos responden y se mueven y tambien pueden hablar.
