Country Issues:
Greenland is a country that is known as Denmark territory, where the weather is cold, but it is colder in winter. In fur farming, it is illegal to use endangered species, but in Greenland the hunt for seals is a popular thing. Seal hunts are popular in Greenland because there is a high demand which allows the prices and profit to be higher. The harp seal and ringed seal are mainly hunted for their fur and both of these seals are known as endangered species. The hunts in Greenland are nothing compared to the seal hunts in Canada . “The Greenland government discovered the inhumane killings of seals in Canada and decided to eliminate the purchases of seals skins from Canada .” People living in Greenland demand seal apparel products to wear for warmth in the extremely cold temperatures.
