About Us

Our Objective

Our website began simply by investigating all the significant species of dinosaurs. We did not originally expect to cover climate change, yet as our research began to develop we all saw what was staring at us in the face! There are many similarities that we could see relating to climate change in the past, that we are currently experiencing in the present. With this knowledge, we began to look towards the future. Our site is more than research and information. We really want you to take it further. Do your part to help preserve our planet!

Engy

Hi, my name is Engy and I am in Year 6 at Barrow Hill Junior in London, England. My family comes from Egypt and I enjoy watching wrestling (my favourite colour is black too)! Our team the Climatosaurs worked together wonderfully. Together we made this great website. I'm good with computers and keeping my time organised, so I made it to all of the meetings we had, and made a lot of stuff using Photoshop. I made the header you see as soon as you open the site and I wrote and edited some of the information.
The part I enjoyed the most was organising the competitions we had in Barrow Hill Junior School. We all helped each other in different ways in making this site which is why it has turned out so fantastic. I liked contacting everyone using email and we made contact on a daily basis. It takes a lot of time to create a website like this, but I enjoyed myself even though it took up most of my lunchtime and after school time!

Abdu

Hi I am Abdul! I am 11years old and come from Libya. I speak Arabic and English. I created the buttons in the website and the border. I also put effects on some of Ben's fantastic watercolour dinosaurs. We used Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop to create most of the website and the best thing about participating in Think quest was learning about these programs. I enjoy sports and ICT. We hope you try to save the planet by recycling your waste.

Sebastian

Hi, my name is Sebastian and I am 11 years old. I go to Barrow Hill Junior School in London. I was born in South Africa and I moved to London in 2000. My hobbies are anything to do with sport or computers. I especially like football, cricket and playing games on my PSP. The best thing about participating in Thinkquest was learning how to create a website using Dreamweaver and html. I really hope you take on board some of our information to save our planet! We had loads of fun creating it- enjoy it!

Corey

Hi, My name is Corey and I attend Westbourne Grammar School in Melbourne, Australia. My jobs during ThinkQuest were to research facts about dinosaurs and find out what Governments are doing about Climate Change. I deeply investigated the Kyoto Protocol agreement.
It was fun working with the students from England and contacting them through GMAIL. I learnt some interesting facts about dinosaurs and Kyoto Protocol, which will help me in later life. I enjoyed learning about the Kyoto Protocol because I am interested in Politics and I liked the fact that the different politicians came together to discuss Greenhouse effects.
I am a basketball freak - I would eat, sleep and breathe basketball if I could. I can't sit still, so I am always on the go - playing, running and being active. I also love travelling and imaginative play.

Daniel Hi, my name is Daniel and I am a student at Barrow Hill Junior. I like playing most sports and reading. I enjoyed working on the Flash animation and spent many of my lunchtimes at school working on this site. If we convince you to change one thing and save energy, we have reached our objective!
Ben

My name is Ben. I am 11. In my spare time I like to read books, surf the net, paint and sketch large prehistoric archosaurs (dinosaurs) and practise redundant Judo moves on my hamster, Grace. My job in making this website for ThinkQuest was researching (for dinosaurs including when they lived and the 'what is sustainability' stuff) plus being chief artist (using watercolours, some based on Luis Rey's wonderful work). I go to Abingdon Preparatory School in Frilford, but last year I went to Barrow Hill Junior School and for the two years before that. I am extremely attached to dinosaurs and other prehistoric, supernatural or downright normal beasties.
Thank you for spending your time reading this, run along now, you've got to go and be sustainable...
