The topic of our ThinkQuest Project is Smoking in public - health vs rights. We chose this topic because many people smoke in public nowadays. We would like to give them a correct concept about smoking.

Everyone knows that smoking will lead to numerous bad effects, for example cancer, heart disease or emphysema. On the other hand, buying cigarettes will waste a lot of money. For daily smokers, buying cigarettes may cost over a thousand dollars! People ignore the harm effects, and still smoke daily. Normally the addicts don't understand why smoking is so harmful. It is because they can't stop smoking since they have started. It is a bad habit that may cause people feel disgusted, and will look extremely horrible and grotesque: your teeth and nails will be yellowish... If other people smells the second-hand smoke, they may also have the bad effects that the smokers do. So, smoking will be harmful to everyone.

The intended audiences of our project are mostly smokers and teenagers. We want the smokers to stop smoking and prevent teenagers from smoking because it is bad for everyone, including you and us.

In this project, we want to show the bad effects that cause by smoking. We hope that through this project, our group can expand the knowledge and consequences of smoking to more smokers so that they can be aware of the dantgerous facts of smoking like polluting the air and having innocent people breathing in the harmful smoke. There will be more disaduautages of smoking that we are going to present to you through this project.
