Our school did not want our names on the website, so we decided to make up ones we WISHED our parents had given us!  Issie, our really great artist team member, made character mice for us!  We love them and hope you do, too.

Max

    Hey, everybody, my name is Max! I'm twelve and in sixth grade, but not many people believe that at first glance. It must be because I am the tallest student in my grade.  I don't exactly like school too much, but I'm doing okay.
     I enjoy sports like running, basketball, karate, and swimming. Since I'm so tall, I usually face the adults. In basketball, I'm the center which suits me just fine. I play the saxophone in band and I love it.
     One of the things I don't like is receiving poor grades. That influences me to try harder. If it wasn't for the threat of bad grades, I'd be bored in school. I also hate being criticized.
     I love video games!

    My name is Isabella and I am in the fourth grade.  I have three sisters, one of which is my twin.  I also have a mom and a dad.  We all spend a lot of time together and have a lot of fun.
   I enjoy playing and watching sports.  I am on basketball, softball, and soccer teams.  I spend a lot of time practicing sports and playing in games.  I also like to write and read.  Reading and writing are really fun things to do.  Right now I am learning how to play the clarinet.
    School and learning are enjoyable.  I love my teachers, work hard, and study because I think doing well in school is very important.  When I grow up, my goals are to become a teacher and an author.  I work really hard in school so that some day these goals can come true.

Issie

    Hi, my name is Issie and I am ten years old. I am English although I lived in Spain for five years until I was eight. I am quite sporty and enjoy swimming and hockey but don't enjoy netball quite as much. I also belong to a gymnastics club and I've won a few medals in gymnastics competitions.
    I live with my parents and my twin sister, two fat cats, a corn snake called Kenny and lots of stick insects. We did have a new baby corn snake but my sister left the vivarium open and she escaped. She is probably under the floorboards somewhere.
    

    As a hobby I enjoy looking for wild mushrooms and fungi in the woods although I wouldn't eat them. I love doing origami. I don't like going to bed too early and I don't enjoy getting up at the crack of dawn either. My favourite foods are chicken fajitas, pancakes, lasagna and my dad's toad in the hole (sausages cooked in a sort of batter). I really enjoy drawing but I probably spend more time reading than anything else - my mum and dad get very cross sometimes because I have my nose stuck in a book when I'm supposed to be getting ready for school. I think I'm quite funny and I like to make people laugh. At school I like English, Drama, Art, Design and Technology, Maths (depending what we're doing) and Science. I also play the violin and I am in the school orchestra.

   Hello, my name is Gerhardt.  My favorite sport is soccer.  I don’t like baseball very much.  I play a saxophone in the school band.  I love to be active but, at the same time, I like to sit by a fire in the winter and read a good book.
    In general, I don’t like school very much although I do like science.  I participate in Ski and Snowboarding club.  I snowboard and think I’m pretty good at it!  I am also in Club Web that made this website. 
    I have one brother and one sister along with my parents.  I also have a gerbil, which is a kind of rodent, called George.  My sister also has a very blue colored fish!  Reading is one of my favorite hobbies so I can often be found with a book in my hand!

Minnie

    My name is Minnie!  I like basketball, Tae Kwan Doe, writing, reading, and many more things.  I live with my mom, dad, twin sister, one puffy kitten, one angry cat, and occasionally a cute tiger cat.  I’m in the sixth grade and I love monkeys and the color red.  When I grow up, I want to be a marine biologist because I love the ocean and the animals in it.
    I don’t like homework and am not particularly fond of school even though I get good grades.  I don’t like cooked vegetables or boring books.  If you ask me to bungee jump off a building, I would.  However, don’t ask me to handwrite a report.
     I am a black belt in Tae Kwan Doe and have been playing basketball for six years.  I have a lot of friends and I love to go to the beach.  I also love making web sites!

    My name is Jerry. I live in my beautiful small country Bulgaria. I am in the 5th grade. I need to study hard, pass my tests well and behave because nothing escapes my teachers’ eagle-eyes. My favorite subjects are Math and biology. I am good at them. I have already got a few feathers in my cap:  I have won two Math Competitions in school this year. I was selected to be a member of the group competing at the National Mathematics Contest.
    Being a night owl, I am rarely in bed before midnight – I play computer games or watch TV. I also enjoy reading about nature.  Birds and animals are one of my favorite topics.

     For some people a bird in the sky is just a bird while I like to identify the bird, to know its habitat and what it eats. I hope our website will help the other kids learn more about the beautiful soaring birds of prey and write better reports at school.
     During my holidays I am free as a bird.   I skate with roller-skaters, ride my bike, or play ping-pong all day long. I have gone to gymnastics, athletics and Aikido clubs. I have many friends and we are all keen on parkour. It involves a lot of jumping and jumping is the closest we can do to flying.
