This is a bird of prey dictionary.  There are other definitions for some
of these words, but we only used the one for birds.
 

Beak:

a long, hard mouth like object on a bird
Binocular vision: using two eyes to focus on one thing.
Camouflage: a way to blend into your surroundings
Cere: soft material found one the bottom of the upper area of the beak where the nostrils are open
Decreased: lowering an amount of something
Destroy: to make something fall apart
Diurnal: hunting during the daytime
Eliminated: took away
Fledglings: a baby bird that just got its feathers to fly
Habitat: an animal's home or surroundings
Monocular vision: having the ability to use both eyes separately; to be able to see one thing with one eye and another thing with the other.
Nocturnal: hunting during nighttime
Predator: a bird that lives by eating other animals
Prey: an animal that is being hunted
Reduce: to lower an amount of something
Talons: long nails on raptor's feet
Threatened: to have a warning of being endangered
Thermal: an upward movement of warm air.
Updraft: a strong movement of air going up
