So, highly reputed game companies such as Ensemble Studios and Microsoft Games have launched certain games based on the mythology and religions of the world. What's more interesting is that these games attracts and are liked by youngsters all over the world!

Age Of Mythology

Age of Mythology, commonly called AoM, is a mythology based real-time strategy game. The game is about the journey of Arkantos, a hero from the city of Atlantis. There are three main civilizations specified in the game i.e. Greek, Egyptian and Norse. Each of them have three major gods and some minor gods.

The game was highly popular among the youngsters, going platinum, selling over 1 million units in just 4 months! The game was a huge success getting 9.3 out of 10* from IGN.

God of War

God of War is another well reputed mythology based game. It is a role-playing action game based on Greek mythology. It is about the story of a Greek Spartan, Kratos, who believes that he's abandoned by the gods. He is tricked by Ares, the god of war, making Kratos kill his own wife and daughter. Kratos decides to take his revenge and is helped by goddess Athena in his journey.

God of War was reputed by various awards including "Game of the Year". This was very much liked by its fans. This game was also honored by IGN for the best PS2 game ever.
