A Mythological Creature is a Folkloric creature which have their origins from myths and tales. They must not be confused with Legendary Creatures which are a collection of creatures containing both mythological as well as real creatures which have appeared in legends and stories.

Creatures Which Were Believed To Be Mythological Creatures

Mythological creatures may exist sometimes. For example, a Giant Squid, which was once believed to be mythological creature, is a squid that grows to tremendous sizes (13 m or 43 Feet). Similarly, the natives of Congo, Africa told Europeans that they have seen a animal that's a cross between a giraffe and zebra.
