We created a pledge for you to take that is about promoting tolerance and not bullying others. It also talks about what to do if you witness bullying and how to be a positive role model for other people.
We had all the 4th and 5th graders at our school say the Pledge of Tolerance. It is part of the presentation we created called It's Time for Tolerance. We would like you to find some of your friends and/or family members and tell them about the Pledge of Tolerance. Explain why they should take the pledge with you. Try to get as many people as you can to say this pledge.
Here is the Pledge of Tolerance:
"I pledge to be tolerant of everyone
and never to bully.
If I am being bullied, I won't resort to fighting.
If I witness bullying,
I will tell an adult about the situation.
I will never be disrespectful,
and I will be a positive role model to others." |
