Parents

Kids develop values mostly by the example their parents set for them. When parents show kindness, their children usually do the same. Remember, we are watching and learning from you.

5 Simple Tips for Raising a Kind Child

  • Be involved in your child’s life. Go to school events and functions. Show up at their after school activities.
  • Let children know they are important to you.
  • Help them to love themselves so they can love others.
  • Set a good example for politeness, kindness, and positive communication.
  • Listen to your children.
  • Participate in activities as a family.
  • Encourage kind behavior by helping your child do things for others in the community and in the home.
  • Give children opportunities to serve others unselfishly.
