The survey was completed by people in both Brazil and the United States. The surveys helped determine some of the pages for this website. For example, people in both Brazil and the United States said the hardest place to be kind is while playing or practicing sports, so we decided to write about sportsmanship. Over 300 Brazilians took the survey on Think.com and 169 Americans participated in the survey through Survey Monkey. We think it is interesting that more people accessed the survey on Think.com.

The survey showed us that Brazilians and Americans seem to agree on most of the questions about kindness. We saw a difference in how people in the two countries felt in only two areas of the survey, "When is it easiest to be kind?" and "What do you think is the BEST way to show kindness." People who took the survey in Brazil think that it is easiest to be kind at home or "Em casa" . People who took the survey in the U.S. think the easiest place to be kind with friends. 13% of Americans surveyed think it is easier to be kind at home compared to 29% of Brazilians who think it is easiest to be kind at home. The survey showed that 76% of Brazilians surveyed think the best way to show kindness is to say "Please" and "Thank You". The English version of the survey showed that 54% of the people surveyed felt that the best way to show kindness was "being a friend to someone no one else likes".Survey

The U.S. survey results and Brazilian results were combined to emphasize points on pages in the website.
