Kindness Kids Speak Out

Comment on what you have read about showing kindness in a community.

"What you have written is true and should be practiced in every community around the nation and the world, but alas it is a thought often neglected".~Jonah

"Kindness in the community is very important. Everyone should try to get along with the people in their community, so remember if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all." ~Brianna

"The community depends on the people!! The people are the community. If people act badly, then it makes the community look bad.".~Kristen

"I believe that if everyone would show kindness the world wouldn't have so much chaos, and that's what you described in this blog."~Meyers

Kindness Kids Challenge

The old man watched and waved from his broken down front porch as the teens walked by his house every day on their way home from school. His house was once the pride of the neighborhood. Not so long ago, he could have easily painted his house and made the needed repairs himself. Now, he was too old.

One day the young people had a speaker at school. The speaker talked about making a strong community and about taking care of each other. Today, as they walked past the old man's house, they noticed the broken porch and the shabby paint. They talked among themselves and made a plan.

The next Saturday, they gathered at the old man's house with paint and wood. They had enlisted the help of grown ups in the neighborhood and worked all day to paint and repair the house. Help those in needThey spent the next few Saturdays and even some days after school working on the house. Soon, it was beautiful again. The old man was proud of the house he had lived in for so many years.

Help someone in need.
