Kindness Kids Speak Out

Back to Kindness Kids' Favorites

We, the Kindness Kids, posted message boards, brainstorms, votes, and sent messages to get other kids' and teachers' opinions about kindness on Think.com. We started a blog and posted our writing. We tried to post something at least once a month. Most of the comments were positive and helped us to know what kids and a few adults think about our topic.

(Unedited from Kindness Kids' blog)

"Nobody ever bullies me and I never bullied anybody. Most of the people I know are real, real, real nice. I like being nice to other people. I respect people when they respect me."~Anonymous

"If a bully walked up to you and said something bad to you, what will you do? I will go tell on him and the teacher will do something about it."~Chase

"I have never been bullied before. But, I know that a bully will get stronger if you do not stand up for yourself. If you get bullied tell your teacher or principal."~Faith

"Trust me, kid. I always go bullied all the way from headstart to high school and trust me it will never stop."~Brad

"I have been punched or kicked by a bully before. But it was words that hurt me. They called me mean hurtful words, but they got in trouble because I could not take it anymore."~Anonymous

"I have learned that when a bully bullies, it's to make them feel better because they probably get bullied by bigger kids. I know this because I was bullied once."~Hannah

A Kinder World (Unedited comments from blog)

"Tolerance is a way to show kindness I think Tolerance means being
nice." ~Matti

"Tolerance is something that should be modeled by parents, but often it is not. And, even if it is modeled, do you think our culture--and the influence of media--encourages being tolerant? I believe you can show more adults how to live by modeling your tolerant and peaceful means of living. Kudos to each of you for contributing your voice (and hopefully your practice) to growing a more peaceful and respectful world!" ~L. Deisley

"I am so affirmed as an educator and as an adult by your blog. It is really important that tolerance and kindness be part of our actions towards one another and not just towards the people who look and act like we do. Good for you for posting this item and carrying this message forward." ~P. Livingston

"What a great message you are sending out to the world! I also believe "you get what you give"..in everything! So, if you are kind to others, they will be kind to you and I always try to help people, because so many people come back and help me!
MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!" C. Lane
