Diseases are spread in many ways. The most common way they are spread is through person-to-person contact. There is some treatment available. Most diseases can be prevented through vaccination. Many times they are spread through contact with coughing and sneezing. Here's how it happens: A person sneezes on the doorknob as they open a door. Another person opens the door, gets bacteria on their hands, and later bites their fingernails, getting a disease through contamination on the doorknob. To prevent getting these diseases, be sure to wash your hands at the proper time, not lick your fingers or bite you nails, and even stay away from contaminated people.
