CAUSES

This difficult pronounced bacteria is otherwise known as Hib. You might not know if you catch this deadly bacteria, for there's so many symptoms. It causes infections in various parts of the body and a long strand of diseases. Earlier, Hib was a common disease around small children. But now,not very many people get the Hib disease because research has resulted in a vaccine that has a successful effect.

SPREAD

Haemophilus Influenzae B is spread through Hib bacteria that live in the nose and throat. Bacteria are passed from person to person in droplets of saliva when a child with Hib sneezes or coughs. Also, Haemophilus Influenzae type B is passed from child to child when one person puts a toy in his or her mouth and another person plays with the same toy later on.
PREVENTION

The most useful solution is to get vaccinated to this disease. There are many different vaccines to Hib. It is recommended by THE American Academy of Pediatrics and the Advisory Committee on Immunizations Practices that all kids at the age of two months only should be immunized.

TREATMENT

Usually, you can just use antibiotics if you are seriously infected. But when your not sure if you carry the bacterium or not, you use rifamptin, a medication.
