CAUSES
Rubella is cause by a virus called Rubivirus.
When rubivirus gets into your body it can get into your urine and blood and affect your daily life greatly. This disease is passed through from body to body and can cause many be people to be diagnosed with rubella.

SPREAD
The virus usually enters the body through the nose or throat and it is passed from person to person by tiny droplets in the air that are breathed out. Since the disease enters through the nose and mouth coughing and sneezing are the most common type of transmission of rubella.

PREVENTION
Active immunization is done by vaccination with alive attenuated rubella virus . Rubella vaccination is combined with measles and mumps vaccination . 98% of the population retains immune after this vaccination. Vaccination is given after 12 months years old. Since there is no effective rubella antivirus drug, vaccination prevention is very important in preventing disease and its possible consequences.

TREATMENT
There is no specific drug for rubella. Disease is treated symptomatically (body temperature control with paracetamol). If complications appear, doctor help should be required. The disease will just burn out and the disease will be cured. There is no drug because when you are born you are usually vaccinated.
