For people who believe that global climate change is inevitable, global climate change is the train, while humans and civilization is the helplessly strapped to the tracks.  Global climate change is creeping along slowly to destroy the Earth.

However; not only are there cons, there are pros. When global warming proceeds, the polar ice caps will melt and flood many houses.  If we don't stop pollution, humans are doomed to become extinct.  Then we have pros.  If the global temperature rises, people will have more success of growing crops, which will reduce the poverty in the world.   However, there seems to be more cons, than pros.  That may be the reason why an incredible number of humans are so concerned about global warming.

People around the world are looking for solutions. How do we prepare for the future climate change? How do we protect our lives, our property and our industry? Many scientists and governments are currently in the process of creating foolproof plans to protect us from global warming.

HERE ARE SOME OF OUR IDEAS AND THOUGHTS:

NIHIR

If Global Warming is inevitable we need to start moving inward toward the center of our land and stay away from the coasts of our land. This means to plan ahead and stop building there now. Flooding will happen if ocean rises. Therefore, we need to build bigger, stronger and higher buildings so they can resist some floods. Also, engineers should try to reinforce buildings that exist now. We need to map and create another way of transportation when we are having floods. This would help with evacuations.

NEEL

To prevent these property and economic damages, we can make more wave turbines to take the water in and use it to power the homes that would've been destroyed by the floods. This will help the economy and the property of people.

GINA
I saw part of a TV show about how some people went to the Arctic and built a very long lasting building. This construction is partly a huge freezer, covered in ice so when global warming melts too much ice this "freezer" will make sure that the ice stays frozen. The other half of the building is a storage area for seeds of all food bearing plants. There are over 1,000,000 different types of seeds in small, gray, plastic bags that are sealed tightly so that the seeds are not eaten by animals and so that the seeds don't fall out. These seeds will be available after global climate change to replant food supplies for the world. I think we should also encourage people around us to preserve not only food, but also natural gases and fuel.

JALEYCIA
Before we start wasting more time we should consider studying other planets and see if it is possible to live on them.  If it is not possible, we need to find out if there are any natural resources there, or if food can be grown there. This may be a way in the future that people can get their supplies if flood waters or harsh climate destroys our resources on Earth.

WALKER
We need to start building affordable apartments away from bodies of water so everyone will have a place to live. We need to start harvesting everything we can grow so we have a food supply to survive through times of disasters. Also, we need start building walls between land and water to prevent flooding. These levees need to be strong and able to protect cities that are located near the oceans. We can use the disaster of New Orleans as an example. Their levees were not strong enough to protect the people. Our governments have a responsibility to help the populations be prepared for inevitable changes to the weather, which will affect us all.

LOGAN

As you may have heard of, New Orleans, Louisiana, was flooded because their levees were not strong enough.  This should encourage us to construct more withstanding levees so we can be assured that floods will be less vicious. Also, other engineering inventions could help. For example, in the case the sea level rises our cites will flood. Maybe there needs to be a way to remove the water or circulate the water to keep the sea level steady- through holes connected to pipes that can drain the water back to the oceans behind the levies or collect the water. Just an idea.
