Sometimes people feel that huge world problems can only be solved by governments and industry. But, in the case of global environment issues, each one of us can do our part. Just think of everything you do in a day - do you drive to school, where does your garbage go, how long did you take a shower, and did you leave the TV on when you went out to play?
Earth has more than 6 billion people. Just think what would happen if each single one decided to help the Earth. Think about it this way. If every person in the world used 10 gallons of water each day to shower or for other reasons, the world use of water each day would be 60 billion gallons! That is around 22,000 billion gallons a year!
Every day each one of us makes choices that can protect or hurt our planet. To protect our environment we need to start looking at ourselves as one of the 6 billion people with a same goal - making our planet a healthier, safer place to live. Therefore, we need to make personal choices that can help our environment.
So, what can we do?
