According to the people who believe that global warming is a man made problem, emission of carbon dioxide is the greatest cause of the issue. They are emitted in the air, along with other pollutants, and cause the greenhouse effect. Some activities done by people contribute to the global climate change more than others. The main causes are burning fossil fuels and clearing the land of plants. These are the main reasons because both result in huge amount of carbon dioxide gong to the atmosphere.
Not everyone contributes to the global climate change and greenhouse effect equally. Most industrialized countries have been producing the majority of greenhouse gases for decades. This was the basis for Kyoto Protocol which asked different countries to make different contributions to reduce emissions.
