Our climate is changing - that's the fact. But what causes this change? For years scientists have been debating the existence, causes and human effects on global climate change. Is global warming really caused by irresponsible human behavior? Is it a natural phenomenon?
Our site was created to educate students about background on climate science so that they can make their own decision. In our site we will present both points of view. And, we will present our opinion - that environmental responsibility should be a priority for the citizens of our planet regardless of what position is true or people agree with. We hope you enjoy our site, it helps you research and learn, and it gives you something to think about.
NAVIGATING OUR SITE
To make navigation easier, different viewpoints are presented in different colors. This way you will always know what section you are in. The menu on the top shows main sections, and roll down to subsection. You may also find other links on pages. These links explore subject in depth.
What is climate and how does it change? What effect does climate have on our lives? This section of our site will present some basic of environmental and climate science. We will explore the role that climate and its change plays in our lives and our future.

According to many scientists, global climate change is the result of human behavior for the past centuries. These scientists believe that industrial age is the biggest contributor to global climate changes. Emissions of gases from factory chimneys and pollution by millions of cars have contributed to greenhouse effect. People activities have been a major cause of increasing temperature. This warming is dangerous to earth and its people. The worming will cause ice caps to melt causing flooding and destruction. In addition, our planet can expect violent storms that will bring destruction to coastal areas. People who support this position believe that global warming, caused by people, is a global threat. This section of our site explores causes and effects that scientists that support man made global warming view have noted.

But not everyone feels that people are the responsible for the climate change. Many scientists believe that climate goes through cycles of change. This is a natural process. They cite events of global climate change in the past, for example the mini ice age in the medieval times. They also have explanations for greenhouse effect such as that 90% of gases in the greenhouse gases are actually water vapor. Scientists who support position that global climate change agree that there are serious effects of this event. They also feel that increased temperature will cause disastrous events on the planet. This section of our site will explore natural causes and effects of global climate change according to scientists who support this view.

The debate of what causes global climate change may be going on for decades. Countries and governments are spending millions of dollars for studies of global climate change. Global community is playing blaming game - who is the most responsible and who has damaged environment the most. Meanwhile our Earth is not in a good shape. The fact is that people have treated Earth and its resources with disrespect for century. Garbage piled, oceans polluted, smog covering the cities. Is the cause of the global climate change really that important? While the scientists and politicians are debating our planet is suffering. Maybe it is time to focus on what is important - environmental responsibility. This section of our site will present our position that everyone should be environmentally responsible regardless of what argument you support.

Effects of climate change and environmental issues are important in every corner of our world. With over 6 billion people sharing the planet it is important to protect natural resources and make Earth able to support life for many centuries. This section will explain the importance of our topic to the world community. Also, we will explore different roles countries can play in protecting environment in the future.
