What are our Schools doing?

Schools aren't doing too bad to keep up with saving energy and being environmentally friendly. A lot of them already recycle most of their waste paper, and give lessons on how you can do your bit!

If you have an idea, as to how you can help save your environment, speak to your teacher and see if the school will help you!

Each year over 800 tonnes of paper/cardboard is recycled through this scheme.  The recycling efforts of schools are well rewarded by the payment of a recycling credit of approximately £33 per tonne of waste paper they recycle.

Schools and colleges are given a mini recycling centre (MRC) to collect their materials. A member of ECT's staff visits each premises to discuss a location that is convenient and safe as well as accessible for the MRC collection vehicle.
