Lastly, the website discusses future innovations, which may one day reshape the world of medicine.

Website layout

Description of website functions

Our website is designed with the reader in mind. We wanted to focus mostly on the content, so they are prominently featured at the top of each webpage. Also, a handy toolbox section is available for users to learn more. The website is intuitively designed, with the tabs indicating which section you are on. Likewise, the footer contains text links of all of the main sections.

Burmese language version

A large portion of articles were translated into Traditional Chinese (繁體字) by Gloria, and appear in the toolbox. Justin also began work on a Burmese language version of the website, using Burmese Unicode. However, upon testing with other browsers, the team found that it was unfeasible to create a Burmese language version compatible with all major web browsers, as the technology was not yet available.

The team

Our team consists of members from Gabrielino High School (three seniors, one sophomore, and one freshman), located in Southern California, United States. All of us are members of the Gabrielino Engineering, Mathematics, and Science club and our advisor and coach is Mrs. Traeger, a biology teacher at Gabrielino High. This is the first year the team has competed in the ThinkQuest competition.
