Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden is world-renowned for the beauty and diversity of the Cape flora and is displayed fantastically over 528 hectares of diverse fynbos flora and natural forestry. It’s set against the slope of Table Mountain so as you walk around looking at all kinds of indigenous plants you have a great view of the eastern side of Table Mountain.

Robben Island

Robben Island was a place of exile, isolation and imprisonment nearly 12 kilometers from Cape Town. It was a place where the social outcasts or the troublemakers of politics, were sent by the rulers at that time. Robben Island today is a significant part of each ones life as Nelson Mandela spent a large proportion of his 27 years of imprisonment on the island. Of course one of the main attractions on the Island is his old cell.
