Introduction

We are students of grade 6 of primary school de Wadden. We wanted to make a website, but at the beginning we did not know what our website should be about. After Fall break (November 2005) we decided to make a special children's website for the Foundation Ukunda Schools Project.

Our teacher made a time frame for us. We had to finish the reports on Africa before the end of December 2005. And we had to turn in our reports on Kenya before the end of January 2006. We could find our information in the school library, the school text books, the city library, travel agencies and of course on internet.

And hurrah, we were successful in finishing the project in time.

In February we started to work on the website lay-out. Now and then we had to write an extra page, but at the end of March 2006 we finished the website: just in time to be ready for the annual Dutch ThinkQuest Junior contest.

Our teacher translated our website into English so we can use the website for international contests and for the students of Kenya; they can read our website too.
