Rulers and pencils
By doing this, people from one tribe suddenly were divided by a border. For instance the Masai people in Kenya: one part lives in Kenya, the other part of the tribe lives in Tanzania.
It also happens that many tribes suddenly became one country: 42 different tribes in Kenya for instance.
If more than one tribe live in one country, then people have to respect each other culture: this causes many problems. Especially when there are opposite opinions between different cultures. People start to disagree with each other, start to fight, which easily can turn into a civil war. One tribe tries to rule over other tribes and people have huge disagreements and alas also many civil wars. Most civil wars in Africa is about borders. Sometimes some tribes / people do not have the same right as other people. Of course that is not good: all human people should be equal!
United Nations tried to help. They sent tents, medical care, food aid.
A civil war is bad for all people. People in Africa are already so poor, and with all that fighting, people start to loose everything they had. Many children die, many children are orphans.
that moment on it was forbidden for black people to come to special
places, like beaches and parks. White people placed signs, telling:
Forbidden for Blacks.
South Africa is one of the richest countries in Africa. They dig for diamonds and they have a flourishing tourism industry.

Shortly after that he became the
first black president of South Afica (1994). Because of him the black
people in Africa got a voice! Nelson Mandela was rewarded with the Peace
