Use of Applications
We only cover the domestic areas in which nanotechnology is applied. But to let allow you to view nanotechnology in a broader view, this is a section on the other uses of nanotechnology in various objects and how their used.
"Nano" paints may be able to change colour.
By microwaving and impregnating wood with different materials, will allow it to almost never need maintenance, greatly saving human effort needed to keep wood good. It can also be made stronger and more resistant to ultra-violet rays, so as to reduce the decolouring of the finishes on the wood. The wood, although modified, still contains the natural grain.
Instead of using implants or specifically engineered contact lenses to deliver drugs for patient with eye conditions, eye drops containing nanoparticles which are able to absorb and release the drug over a period of time may be used instead. Such eye drops would may reduce the need for regular administration, making the treatment process more pleasant and convinient.
Some nanoparticles absorb infrared light. Applying such particles on glass panels will greatly reduce the amount of heat that will come into a building. Such glass panels will then reduce the need for air-conditioning. Thus operators of buildings would be able to cut down on electrical bills through a one-time investment.

There are thousands more applications of nanotechnology in daily products and to mention them all, would take so long, I would already have decayed before I could finish the whole list of them! |
