What is Carbon Footprint?

The total amount of greenhouse gases produced to directly and indirectly support human activities, usually expressed in equivalent tons of carbon dioxide (CO2).

Your carbon footprint is the sum of all emissions of carbon dioxide, which were induced by your activities in a given time frame.

For example we can calculate the carbon foot print of using fuels or non-renewable electricity to catch wild fish or to raise farmed fish, and then to process and transport the fish to market.  Type of transport used – Air ,Sea or land and the type of equipment used in Fishing changes the carbon footprint calculation.

The best way is to calculate the carbon dioxide emissions based on the fuel consumption.
