I’m a senior at Eastside College Prep. I’ve been attending Eastside since my freshman year, and I can truly say I love this school and the people here. At Eastside I’ve been able to go places I’ve never been before, take classes I’ve never taken before. For example my freshman year I enrolled in the art classes, and discovered how incredible it was to express myself through painting and drawing. This is my third year enrolled in art. I’ve also taken yearbook for two years in which I have found a deep interest in graphic design. Right now I’m also taking multimedia class, which I decided to take to expand my knowledge on computers and contribute my knowledge of art and yearbook into creating a web page of my own. My parents and rest of my family have really influenced me to become a successful person in life and achieve many great things that they never had an opportunity toachieve. My aspirations as well as theirs have led me to take any opportunity available to get a step closer to my goals. Eastside to me means the world because they are helping me achieve many of my aspirations, and to succeed in life by preparing me to go to college, so that in the future I can help my community progress. On our teams site I was responsible for the design of our site and the interview with James Koa from Green Citizen.

My name is Omar I am Mexican-American I was born in the United States specifically Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, Ca. I am currently a junior at Eastside College Prep in East Palo Alto, Ca and taking Multimedia as an elective. Before I took Multimedia I did not know much about web design but since I have attended the class I have learned so much. That it has become extremely helpful in ThinkQuest. ThinkQuest has been a very challenging and fun experience. For the website I am writing the content for the Basel convention section and where doe E-waste go? section. I also did the E-waste quiz in the interaction section and built the quiz; and created some of the pages on the website.

I am a 16-year-old Mexican-American and I’m a junior at Eastside College Preparatory in East Palo Alto, California in the United States. For this project, I edited content and conducted the interview with Maureen Cane from SVTC. Although I was not part of the multimedia class that was responsible for putting the entirety of the website together and though I have no knowledge whatsoever of website editing and creating, I enjoyed working with this group and learning about E-waste, which was a new topic for me. I am interested in doing my part in protecting and restoring the environment and have been involved in organizations that strive to educate youth about what they can do for the environment and, at the same time, for human kind. So working on this project that exposed me to one more ugly truth about technology and its harmful effects is an unforgettable learning experience that I will apply to my daily life.

My name is Anthony and I'm a Junior at Eastside College Preparatory, located in East Palo Alto, CA, United . My dad is Filipino and my mom is Salvadorian. I am a part of the Multimedia class participating in the ThinkQuest competition. Before joining the multimedia class I had little experience of web design, now I am more confident in building a website. In building this website I learned the harmful effects of E-waste. I want to inform people that they should be more aware of what they are consuming. I worked on “Environment Hazards” and the building of the website.

My name is Valentin and I am currently a junior at Eastside College Preparatory School in California. I was born in Mexico and my parents were as well; we later immigrated to the United States. I am currently in a multimedia class and participating in the ThinkQuest competition is one of our big projects. Before ThinkQuest, I knew some basics of web design but now I know more about building a whole website. My team and I worked together to create this site so that we can inform others on the issues that surround E-waste. I worked on the “Health Hazards” and “What is E-waste?” sections of the website as well as our “Team” page. I learned a lot by joining ThinkQuest, I learned to work in a team, do research and web design.
