Adverb

An adverb is a word that describes a verb and it describes where, when, and how. A lot of adverbs end in "ly". Most of the [ly] adverbs are how adverbs. Adverbs modify verbs.

Example: I ran to the door very slowly.
Slowly tells how I ran to the door.
