to Pizza
Pizza has been modified more to make different dishes that originated from
pizza itself, some of these include the same ingredients as pizza or they
have been changed to add new or similar ingredients.

Alsatian tarte flambée is made in Germany and is a thin circular
piece of dough covered with crème fraîche, (which is a cream),
onions and bacon.

Armenian pizza is a round piece of dough topped with a plethora of
meat and/or veggetables.

Provençal pissaladiere is like a normal pizza but with a really
thick crust and topped with anchovies, olives and onions.

Calzones and Stromboli is pizza dough rolled around the contents of a pizza
(marinara, basil, cheese, etc.) it is sometimes referred to as a stuffed
pizza.
What we know as pizza, other people and cultures call it something else!
Here are some examples.

In New England they sometimes refer to them as a ‘pie.’

In Serbia they call it ‘Capi’, which comes from the Serbian
word pica (pizza.)

Pizza is sometimes referred to as ‘Za.’

In Iran they refer to pizza as an ‘elastic loaf.’

In some restaurants they advertise selling a slice of the ‘wheel’ (pizza.)
