Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR)

The BAR is a submachine gun that was first used in WWI by US forces and was also used in WWII. The Bar is a versatile weapon because it has two different shooting speeds and is very powerful. Army units are often centered on a couple of BARs with a bipod attached to the front for a defensive position. One of the few drawbacks was that the whole gun weighed 40 pounds and the barrel was hard to change so the barrel would often overheat. The range is 600 yards at 550 rounds per minute.
