Pharaohs were the highest in ranked meaning the richest, most powerful and most important people in Egypt. Slaves were the lowest in ranked people in Egypt. Pharaohs controlled the people of Egypt, for example pharaohs ordered workers to build Pyramids. Pharaohs had people to feed them, and wait on them.
When pharaohs died, they were placed into their secret tomb or in a pyramid. When pharaohs died, their tombs were secure so robbers couldn’t steal their treasure. Pharaohs wanted shabtis to be put in their tomb when they died. Shabtis are miniature statues at the height of 10-15cm long. Pharaohs thought that if the shabtis were in the tombs, the slaves would be waiting for them in the afterlife.
