Calling for Help
Call for Help
You should always call an ambulance following:
  • The discovery of an unconscious casualty.
    • Normally it is necessary to perform life support procedures first, if you are qualified.
  • Saving somebody who has drowned.
    • The person should be monitored in case of later dry drowning or another type of drowning.
  • The discovery of internal bleeding.
  • Severe external bleeding.
  • The discovery of a groggy / faint casualty.
  • A casualty which is being extremely sick.
  • Severe choking.
If you feel that you should call an ambulance, it is normally correct to do so.

When making an emergency call, it greatly helps the emergency services the more you can tell them. This section of the website will enable you to contact and provide the most useful information to the operator.
