Choking

Choking is when an object is fully or partially obstructing the flow of air between the lungs and mouth. Insufficient air can kill, and so choking is potentially very serious.

The casualty may be seen going blue and clutching the throat.

An ambulance does not need to be called unless you cannot dislodge the object or the casualty becomes unconscious.
