Da-Yu

was the ancient Chinese god of flood control. He was also the founder of the Xia Dynasty. This god lived in the 23rd century B.C. Da-Yu pretty much dedicated his whole life to keeping the waters under control. He was so dedicated in fact that some legends say that he left his wife then scared half the country. People were so happy with Da-Yu work they gave him the title of emperor.

The first immortal is Cao-Guojiu who was tired of the royal corruption and left the court to meditate in the mountains. In the mountains he met a stranger who gave him a drink that made him immortal.


Han-xiangzi became immortal when he fell out of a sacred peach tree. He was working on a gravity experiment in a peach tree when he fell out of it. He did not know it but the peach tree he fell out of was sacred and only bared fruit every 3,000 it was the sacred tree of immortality.
He-xiangu was not a man but a woman. One day He-xiangu was working on some new cooking recipes she was grounding up a shiny bin which was most likely to be a peach from the peach tree of immorality. She called the powder heshee peachee and after a while she realized that the elixr let fly over montains. She was a very well known chef.
had to be the most eccentric out of the eight immortals. At times someone looking at lan-caihe would not know if it was a male or female. He or she got their immorality by helping a begger which some legends say was really Li-tieguai in disguise. nursed this crippled begger back to health, he was rewarded with the gift of immorality. Lan-caihe had an odd way of dressing he or she dressed in only one boot, a belt made of wood and in summer lan-caihe wraps up in a thick warm sweater. During winter months lan-caihe likes to sleep half naked in the snow.
Li-tieguai was said to be the beggar that gave lan-caihe immorality. REALLY ENJOYED FLOAING AROUND IN HIS SPIRIT SO ONE DAY HIS SPIRIT LEFT HIS BODY AND WENT TO GO SEE LAO-ZI TO GET SOME INFORMATION ON IMMORTALITY. When he arrived back to his body realized it had been cremated and turned into a pile of ashes. li-tieguai had to find a body and fast or else. In a moment was turned into a dying beggar in a ditch. When he suddenly realized that he had been turned into an immortal. He is very popular with the disabled.
The next immortal is lu-dongbin. One day, lu-dongbin was taking a small nap in a bar, he had a dream of his future. His futre was that he was going to be killed by bandits so to avoid this he adopted the daoist way of faith. He became good friends with zhong-liquan.
