You allways have to be very cautious about volcano's. You never know when one will erupt. To help you and your community safe monitor hazardas and active or dormat volcanos. Here are some hints to help you keep safe and be confident when your neer a volcano.

listen to the warnings
communicate whith prfecionals
have an evacuation plan
educate yourself about volcano hazards
evaluate the risk
create a disaster plan

In case of a volcano eruption you shooul have these supplies

flash light and extra batteries
first aid kit and manual
emergency food and water
non electic can opener
essential medicines
dusk mask
sturdy shoes
pair of goggles and breathing mask

if caught indoors:

close all windows, doors, and dampers
put all machinary inside a garage
bring animals and livestock into closed shelter

if trapped outdoors:

seek shelter
if caught in a rockfall, roll in a ball to protect your head
if caught near a stream, be aware of mudflows. Move up slope, especially if you hear the roar of a mudflow

protect yourself during an ashfall:

wear a long sleeved shirts and long pants
use goggles to to protect your eyes
use a dusk mask or hold a damp cloth over your face to help breathing
keep car or truck engines off
