When I finished searching information about smoking, I was shocked by the disadvantages that smoking would bring. There are thousands of diseases and cancers such as brain cancer, heart cancer or lung cancer. If there were a poll of “ The worst thing in the world”, I would vote for cigarettes.
I remembered that a dialogue between a reporter and a rich man who sells cigarette which the dialogue is shown as following:
R: Do you think smoking is good?
M: Yes, definitely, so people should have cigarette everyday.
R: Does your son smoke?
M: Of course not, smoking causes many disease.

I think these people are very selfish.

This website is basically built with the program Dreamweaver. It was built from scratch with frames and layouts. Creating the whole thing was not as easy as you might think because when you move a single strand or a link, the whole thing will change. This website is not really perfect, but I can say that this is already a success for us.

Our teammates are in a weird combination of five. Some of us are good at co-ordinating, some are experienced, some are entirely new to the topic. But all the same, we went through and eventually learnt a lot from each other.

At first we were a bit off-track. But later we kept revising and researching and previewing these webpages and finally come up with this end-product. And we are proud of it.

Lastly I would also like to thank for the websites, books and people who provided much relevant and precious information.

Honestly, before doing the Thinkquest Project, I seldom used the computer to do my work. But after following my team mates' guidance, I attempted to take part in creating a website, I really learnt a lot about the skills of using the computer. I also learnt to co-operate with my team members. Actally there are really lots of things I deprived from this project that I cannot learn in the books at school.

Creating a website is really a huge problem for me before joining the Thinkquest Project, as I seldom “communicate” with the computer for such a long time, finding the use of all those buttons all over the screen.

I could totally say that I extremely enjoy the process of all I have experienced during the Thinkquest Project, I have learnt to be cooperative with my group members through out the process. I am also really glad to build a web site with my friends by just controlling the electronic mouse, The most valuable thing for me is no longer winning the prize and be the champion of the program, instead I have already won the most precious thing in the whole world --- friendship.

The Thinkquest Project made me brainstorm, for example: how should we make the survey? How should we design the web site to let the readers understand the contents more clearly?

I can also learn a lot from doing this Thinkquest Project. Firstly, of course, from the title ---- Smoking in Public Health VS Rights. Second, I know more about my partners, understand more about them through sharing ideas.
