As much as how technologically advanced as most developed countries may be, they have still yet to reach the point of social advancement, where the underprivileged and the disabled can be easily integrated into mainstream society. For our project, we have chosen to narrow our scope down to the wheelchair users who, as the phrase suggests, are the people who require the use of a wheelchair for long term purposes and not just for temporary convenience.

Our project will cover the problems faced by the wheelchair user, be it the physical environment, or the psychological barriers between them and the society.  We will also look into existing solutions of those existing problems.  Finally, there will be case studies and interviews to give a first hand account of what being in a wheelchair is all about.
