Money:
The Etruscans
made most exchanges by bartering. The first type of coins used was copper or
unrefined silver. Later on when the civilization was more prosperous, bronze
coins were used. These coins were influenced by both the Greeks and the Romans
types of coins.

These two
coins are from Etruria in the 3rd century BC

Trade:
Because of the
advantageous position in the Mediterranean Sea, the Etruscans were able to hold
a vast trading empire, and were as large as the Phoenicians or the Greeks. The
main items of trade were bronze items, vases, and wine.
