Java

Java (not to be confused with JavaScript) is developed by Sun Microsystems. It is an object oriented programming language and is an open-source project.

Java enables more complex things to be achieved on the web. You might have noticed Java applets across the WWW. These are usually used when the website requires complex programming support.

For ThinkQuest, although Java (if used as a server-side script) is not supported, it can still be used to create J2ME games for mobile devices.
