To Translate, or not?

As you explore the ThinkQuest library, you notice that most of the winning entries provide translations to other languages. In fact, only 36% of internet-users speak English as their first language. Think of how much audience you would be turning off to if you only provide your site content in English.

However, do take note:

"The Website and Site Profile, as well as other communications submitted to ThinkQuest, must be in English. Translation of the Website into additional languages is acceptable; however, Judges will evaluate the English language version of the Website."

"Although the Website may be translated into multiple languages, file and directory names must be in basic ASCII format (no accents or non-Western characters)."
