Chloroplasts

Chloroplasts are oval structures that that contain a green pigment called chlorophyll. This allows plants to make their own food. These structures are commonly found in the leaves of plants, but can be found in the other cells. Chloroplasts have an outer and inner membrane. Chloropalst are necessary for photosyntheisis, the food making process, to occur.
