Tuberculosis

Tuberculosis has killed more than one
billion people during the past 200 years.
In the 1800’s the United States had a major outbreak and it killed many people. There were no drugs to treat TB but there was a simple cure. TB patients would need sunlight, fresh air, and rest. They were provided this in a place called a “Sanitarium”. This is a special hospital where TB patients are isolated. Most Tuberculosis spreads through the air.
