Movies. I <3 them. But the thing I hate about them is the lazy “It was all a dream" ending. I sit through the entire movie, expecting a good ending and they cop out with a dream ending. WHAT THE HECK!?!?! Only lazy bums do this. C’mon movie producers/directors/ whoever else comes up with these things. Get to work! You get millions of dollars in the studios money and I expect a satisfying movie ending.
Another thing, movie theatre food. What the heck is up with that? I mean, you have to take out a loan to get some candy or popcorn "Ya, those are nice twizzlers. Do you have financial aid?" and movie theatres as a whole are getting worse. Every time I go to one it seems like there is a few more inches of trash, sticky stuff and half finished candy on the floor. Don’t they have workers to clean it all up? And the whole IMAX stuff? Oh great! Charge me an extra 10 bucks for 5 more feet of screen space and another 10000000000000000 decibels to bust out my eardrums.
As for DVD/ VHS/HDDVD/BLURAY, STOP IT ALL! It’s just a waste of my time and money. New systems like this come out all the time and never last that long. It’s always charging me more for the most miniscule new features. The new HDDVD and BLU RAY players cost around 500-2000 DOLLARS! THAT MUCH?!?!? TO WATCH THE MOVIES THAT I BUY!??!?! No thanks. For that price I want to get a full movie library as well as the DVD player. But I don’t have that kind of money. I would simply rather stick with my regular DVD player/vhs combo and save myself whole lotta cash.
Back on topic to regular movies, too many of these "documentary" type movies are being sent to the theatres. Those kinds of movies should be made straight to DVD. When I go to a movie theatre, I want to see something funny, actiony, or overall interesting. When I go to a movie theatre, I want to be distracted from the other things in life, because, that’s all movies really are: a release mechanism where you can forget about the world and anything going on in it. But these documentaries get you thinking and worrying about everything. Take for example an inconvenient truth. I understand that global warming is a problem but I don’t want to go to a place to relax and end up worrying and freaking out about something. Let me see my movie in peace and relax a bit.
Now get off my lawn.
