Rituals of Wicca
Rituals are the way Wicca’s contact the Divine.
Rituals are very close to a Wicca, in what they believe or the way they take their religion
is how their ritual might be different. Most of the time rituals have a certain structure to
how they are performed. Some rituals are like a church mass in the way they are showed to the
public. Some rituals are done professionally or from traditions and some rituals are done with
carelessness. Very well performed Wicca rituals will be able to talk to their Goddess or their
God. Wicca’s will bring out their rituals differently depending on who is conducting them.
Some rituals will be very simple or very complex. Depending on who is doing the ritual you may
have different activities.
Here are some things you will need to have to have an original Wiccan ritual:
For a ritual you need to have a sacred spot to perform it. This sacred space should be located
in nature, where ever you think would be a perfect place for you. There are three steps for
making your sacred space: 1. Physical cleaning, 2. Astral Cleaning, 3. Erecting A Sacred Circle.
Physical Cleaning: Physical cleaning is just like spring cleaning. You remove the
filth from your sacred space so it won’t bother you during your actual ritual. Let a breeze
go through your space so all the negativity may be blown away with it. This is a time to clear
your thoughts as well.
Astral Cleaning: Astral Cleaning is when you are sweeping all the negativity away
out of your sacred space. It is accomplished with a besom or in other words a broom which is
the only use for this instrument. The bristles of the besom do not have to touch the floor
because they are only trying to clean the energy. If you don’t have a besom or blessed broom,
you can remove negative energies differently. Like you can sprinkle salt water across the floor
or you can burn some incense.
Erecting a Sacred Circle: A very important circle, no witch should be without one.
There are two reasons to have the circle such as: To keep all the good energy in and all the
bad energy out! There are many ways to erect a circle; each witch has there one way.
