The hidden abuse of women

War continues to cause abuse in many different forms. Women in third world countries are already stuck in jobs working in the agricultural fields, where it is really low paid and very labor-intensive. They usually have very little to no chance of moving up and getting a better job to support their family. Many other women are also stuck doing these types of low paying and labor-intensive jobs across third world nations. These types of problems aren’t only present in third world countries, but it’s also a growing issue in modern industrialized countries like the United States. Work is usually divided into “men’s work” and “women’s work”. This is an area where people have argued the UN has failed to balance out and achieve social justice between sexes. Government systems in many third world countries have shown that they greatly favor men in many cases and care very little for women. Lots of women also face even more stress from working “double days”, where they come home after their low paying jobs and do housework and watch their children. Another growing issue is from their lack of education while they were kids. This hurts and lowers their chances from very little to also none to get better jobs. This forces some in third world countries to support themselves and their families by prostitution, which hurts the problem even more, with growing STD figures in these nations. These are the many issues that need to be solved and the many inequalities that need to be overcome between sexes. War takes the focus away from these important social issues that need to be remedied.
