Eating healthy is a very important part of losing weight and keeping it of. After studying many diets and examining them, the one that works best is not really a diet, but the food pyramid. The food pyramid is a very good resource and tells you exactly how much of everything you eat. The first thing you should notice when looking at the pyramid, is that there is no sweets on it. This means you should not eat any cake, candy, or ice cream. Every once in a while won’t kill you, but it is better if you don’t eat it. The next thing to notice is that red meat, such as beef, or pork iso not god for you. Same with white rice, potatoes, and white bread. These things should be eaten sparingly. Dairy such as meet and cheese should be eaten once to twice a day, not the three times a day that people previously though. Fish, poultry and eggs, should be eaten zero to three times a day. Fruits and vegetables are also a very important part of the diet, and should be eaten at least three times a day. Whole grain foods such as dark bread, and whole grain crackers should be eaten at each meal. Then the most suppressing thing on this pyramid is that plant oils should be eaten at most meals.
