Europe:
In the history of US immigration, the first group of people who came here were the Europeans. One reason behind their migration to the US was due to the environmental disasters. In the 1800’s, Europe was facing bad conditions environmentally. Europeans decided to go on a journey in search of better living conditions. The US was an ideal place to live due to the vast lands with rich fertile soil and the promise of a new life. This prompted the people to migrate with hopes of starting over.
As time went by, the Europeans began to build industries and improve on their use of agriculture on the lands. With all the industries and agriculture booming, the stories of success that these immigrants had eventually spread to other parts of the world. Now more people came over to the land that held a fresh start for them. Thus, the number of immigrants increased.
