CBP Protection

Border patrol is thought to be one of the world’s most perilous jobs as there is major risk contained within the task. The agents that take the responsibility upon themselves are simply armed with a “Beretta 96d Brigadier,” handgun which was produced by S&W in 1993. This pistol that the border patrol agents have been assigned isn’t necessarily for killing as its main priority is to neutralize what it fires at.

When it is time to engage in the protection of the border, agents may react depending on their personalities. Statistics say that “65% of the agents” aren’t sharp enough to react and “30% of agents” follow those who take the leading position and “5% of agents” are able to focus on the task, ready to react at any moment. The psychological effect in defending the border can be a very traumatic or fearful experience depending on the situation.
