Came out Novemeber 21, 2005, almost a full year before there competition the PSE and the Wii. With that said the 360 had a full year on the market with already a number of different games. The 360 has much customization for the consumer letting them set the setting internally but also letting them buy different things that makes there 360 THEIRS.

Games-
Gears of War- Next to the Halo series Gears of War has been said to be the best shooter. Its most fascinating features is its cover utility, where you can take cover to any object in the game. Playing as the “traitor” Marcus Fenix you must go across and under Earths surface fighting a armada of the alien species Locust.

Chromehounds- First Mech game for the 360, allowing great expandability for your very own Mech. The gaming world has seen many games dedicated to mechs but chrome hounds throws something new in, the customization to your mech. Letting every person go online and battle with the mechs they have produced.

Halo 3- Not yet released, and kept under high lock. First appearance at the 2006 E3, making it one of the best of show that year. Bungie has released that they will be sending out a public beta test of the game mid spring, but no news on the actual release. All that is for sure about the game is that you will once again be playing as Master Chief and must stop the armada of covenant soldiers from destroying earth.

Perfect Dark Zero- Was first released on the Nintendo 64, but is now back and better then ever on the Xbox 360. Perfect Dark is a first person shooter that was a release title for the Xbox 360. Made by the company of Rare also the maker of the famous Goldeneye 007. This futuristic world of weapons and new gadgets you must now complete your mission playing as the sexy Joanna Dark.

Halo Wars- Halo wars is another game for the Halo series, instead of a shooter though it’s being developed as a RTS from the ground up for the 360. Even though Bungie started Halo, Bungie isn’t making this game, in fact its Ensemble Studious. Playing as master chief once again you fight the covenant for the first time in the year 2525.

Dead Rising- In Dead Rising you play as Frank West a photographer that is sent to a town to report on crazy mysterious events. You land on top of a mall where you become trapped and you must fight your way through the mall with zombies attacking you from every angle. Using every item in the game as a weapon you must go throughout the mall and hopefully find the secrets to all of these zombies.

Over G Fighters- Over G Fighters is based in the near future playing as a army pilot, who must protect the world from terrorists. Much like Chromehounds, it allows for much customization on your very own war fighting jet.

Untitled Halo Project- This game is probably the most mysterious game yet. No name or genre has been given to this game, instead they have said that the famous Peter Jackson is working on it. Peter Jackson has said thought that the game won’t be for intense gamers.

Halo 2 Multiplayer Maps- Even though the Mps aren’t a full feature game, it is a update to the famous Halo 2, and worth mention. It is only going to be made for the 360, and will be coming out next spring for Halo 2 of course. This will be the second series of maps Bungie will be releasing for Halo 2.

Burnout Revenge- Even though this game first came out on the Xbox, it was re produced for the Xbox 360. Letting everyone race around the world with its shiny fast cars. The lighting and great detail on the cars almost made hard to pay attention to the actual game.

Accessories-

Headset- The 360 headset and the normal headset for the Xbox differ in many ways. First of all the look the 360 headset is white with little silver. The place of where you plug it in is different being at the bottom of the controller instead of the top. The feel of the headset is different also letting the ear piece be more comfortable and the talking piece stretch letting the gamer choose how close the actual mike is.

Controller- The controller for the 360, even though it looks a lot like the Xbox controller, differs in MANY ways. First of all the black and white buttons are no longer to the right side, but placed each on a side of the top of the controller being more of a trigger now. Secondly would be the start and back button placement, no longer on the left but in the center. The shape of the controller is smaller and whiter also. But the coolest thing about the controller is the big Xbox symbol button in the center, by pressing that button so much can be done.

Webcam- For certain games on the 360, on Xbox Live for the first time you have the opportunity to see the person that you are playing with. Hooking right up with the 360 through USB you can directly send feed of yourself.

Universal Media Remote- Like the DVD playback kit for the original Xbox, the universal Media Remote helps the user play DVD’s. Even though the normal controller can do this just fine this remote also allows the user to use it for Microsoft Media Center OS, which can connect to the 360.

HD Drive- The HD or high definition drive has just come out for the Xbox 360 on November 7, 2006. Even though the drive is priced at $200 it is still a very useful machine. It allows the user to play high definition DVD’s through it. Connecting through USB and allowing for 2 more USB slots on it, it makes it a great holiday gift.
